Recognize songs? Read barcodes? Gosh! What other features of my three-year-old WP7 phone does it have?

200 on contract?! For a phone with specs that are a year behind? Hell no. Devs aren't going to want to touch the thing.

I thought it might be a good Grandma impulse buy phone if it were something she could throw in her basket at walmart like the Kindle Fire, especially since it has the mayday button and it saves me having to show her how to do stuff. But not at that price and NOT chained to ATT.

A sure sign South Lake Union is filled with MBAs with too much time on their hands. The e-reader was at least related to Amazon's perceived core competency as a bookseller, but I don't know if their brand is strong enough to make anybody look to them for other consumer electronics.

The NSA should pay Amazon-phone users to carry it around, so it can listen in, take surreptitious pictures, and buy things for you. Perhaps they could just give it away for free as a multi-drop listening device.

I recommend people add hilarious comments in the reviews section on amazon.

As usual with the Fire devices, its of possible remote interest to Amazon Prime subscribers who also -
- don't mind using AT&T
- and hate Apple
- or want a 2nd phone for some reason

It's a POS phone!

Why do I want 3D on a phone? More of this exclusive shit that it will only be available on AT&T. Meh.

I could do all that with my phone before I rooted it. I could do all that with my 5 year old phone before I rooted it. I know so little about this product. Removable battery? Unlocked bootloader? Root support? Custom recovery support? Exclusively on ATT? 2 year contract? This sounds like a piece of shit. I'm being as nice as I can when I say that. $200 + a 2 year contract for a phone with 2 year old specs, the target demographic for this is people who don't care about money, phones or technology in general. Actually now that I mention it I'm sure it will do just fine.

I no longer love Amazon. This phone is just another reason to continue not loving Amazon.

I was expecting more. It'd have to be pretty amazing for me to give up the world data plan I have with t mobile.

I was wondering what would take over the place of the Facebook Phone and Google Phone, now the wait is finally over. Fire! The new epic failure in smartphones!!

@3, and yes, most of the better paid MicroZon's here in Seattle are nothing more than MBA's with a little (and I mean little) tech background. Best case scenario you find that they had some coding experience 10 years ago but you know, that was 10 years ago. Now if you will excuse them, they have to go pick up their new Tesla at the showroom right by campus.

Please wait...
