Chelsea Handler is sorta funny, but her show is really funny. If she doesn't have the same gang of idiots going with her, her new show will probably suck.

@4: Yes, it is possible. For reference, try the game Knights of the Old Republic. It had a story that was just as fun as the initial Star Wars Episode IV. And it showed how much room there is in that fantasy universe for other great stories.

Seconding Delirian.
KotOR is an amazing work of art with superb storyline. The sequel, KotOR II: The Sith Lords, is also quite good. There's a sort-of sequel, an MMO called Star Wars: The Old Republic which is pretty good in my opinion.
Why are they good? Because they don't just riff off of characters that everyone likes without putting any imagination into it. Instead, they invent new characters with personalities and work on crafting actual inventive stories. Also, BioWare made them and BioWare writes excellent stories.
