I need to know whether the well Vodka is Monarch. If it is, then no praise is worthy for any bartender in such an establishment no matter how old the person is or how long they worked there.
As if 90% of vodka drinkers could actually discern the difference between Monarch and Grey Goose in a blind test. Besides, if all you're going to do with is is mix it with tonic, cranberry juice or Red Bull, who the hell even cares?
Seattle had a few old (and awesome) bartenders. Marsha at the Smoke Shop has been tending bar there for decades, although I would guess she is only pushing 70.
"How Old Is Too Old to Be a ... ?" how about we default to: there's no reason to set such a limit. (when will ageism become as trigger-ish as sexism, racism, or homophobia?)

In which case, it's the vermouth that makes the difference, not the vodka.
