Hillary is the woman with the best connections and chance at winning (at least at first glance). But Warren is the candidate we really want.

Warren has said repeatedly that she's not running. She doesn't have the fire in the belly.

But there's a cabinet position in the Hillary Admin if she gets tired of the old white assholes clogging up the Senate.

@3 That's the first reasonable suggestion regarding Sen. Warren I've heard: a job for which she is truly qualified.

Most of her supporters sound like former 3rd string Occupy protesters, with their wild projections of what she can do and what can be done.

I want Elizabeth Warren to stay in the Senate. I would love to see her as Senate Majority Leader one day, and barring that, how about Chief Justice of the Supreme Court? I think she would be far better in one of those roles than as President.

@8 I think she's a bit old for SCOTUS at 65 (not that she couldn't handle it, just that she's not likely to sit for the 30+ years you want from a good SCOTUS Nominee). Plus, on SCOTUS, you'd be wasting her primary knowledge and talent: regulatory reform. Also, barring John Roberts suddenly deciding to retire, the job of Chief Justice is occupied for the next 20 years+.

I actually think it is wonderful that we have 2 reasonably competent and popular women (possibly) running for president at the same time. I'd prefer Warren, but I'd take Hillz if necessary.

@6, Your wish will undoubtedly come true. There is little doubt that Sarah Palin will try again. *chortle*

Elizabeth Warren is the kind of Democrat the party base loves, who gets nominated only to lose in November to some asshole named Bush.

Hillary is too military-industrial for my comfort, but she's strong and tested - and I want a winner. Plus which, it's expecting a bit too much of any candidate that they single handedly usher in the Age of Aquarius.

Warren isn't running. Full stop. Period. End of discussion. She doesn't want the job. She knows the limitations of the Presidency. She has more room for accomplishment in the Senate. She's a big Hillary Clinton supporter. She rounded up the other female Senators to sign a letter urging her to run. Her staff are annoyed and frustrated that this Ready for Warren scam exists.

She. Is. Not. Running.

@6: The GOP should probably first try easing up on their condescension and hostility toward 51% of the population. Otherwise it would almost certainly be Crazy Eyes or Know Nothing going against her, and it would be a complete(ly hilarious) rout.
