It's only a matter of time before you are elderly, Paul.

Wow! it was incoherent, vitriolic, AND racist (You forgot to mention the race bating. I hope that every cyclist in DC hit by a motorist sues this jerk and collects.

I too was outraged by this editorial when I read it two weeks ago, when it was published.

Sometimes it seems like there's a church on every block of every street in DC, so it would be hard to put bike lanes anywhere here without taking some parishioner parking.

Milloy is an ass. And a hypocrite, as this column from a couple of years ago makes evident:
I confess: I enjoy driving fast.

Not reckless driving, just cruising at speeds more appropriate for road conditions than the posted speed limit sometimes permits. Pop the top on the old Solara, fire up the CD player and hit the open road. A new Mercedes ad calls it “feeling alive,” although the sensation can be just as good in any well-kept automobile.

Speaking of bullying gangs, everything I take my bike to Lake Meridian Kent, hoards of youth appear from no where, sometimes in uniform, and start playing football, soccer or Frisbee and the ball/disc inevitably ends up hitting everyone along the sidelines.

I can't make heads nor tales of it, but it doesn't seem kosher.

Lake Meridian is a fucking ghetto, no offense intended

Bikesnob's post was better.

Yes, that seems to be the case.

Pun reinterpreted

he should move to Philadelphia, where on Sundays the bike lanes are given over to church parking and the faithless are left to stick it out in traffic.

The elderly would benefit more by expanding their public transportation options. And, for those who are still able to peddle, their quality of life would be much improved along with their longevity by owning and using a bicycle or tricycle.

For those fantasizing about running over bicyclists with your car in the State of WA, please do a little light reading.

RCW 46.61.520 - Vehicular Homicide
RCW 46.61.522 - Vehicular Assault

If that doesn't dispel the notion, sell your car (remove the temptation) and buy a bicycle.

...or walk.

Was told recently by a neighbor that "the war is on" along Westlake and pedestrians had better "keep your eyes open until we get a dedicated bike lane." I just moved here...what did I walk into? Why are Seattle bicyclists threatening to injure pedestrians? Has this always been true in Seattle?
13
Ah yes, the horrible They who do all the bad, inconsiderate, and also bad things. Shame on Them!

@11

One dipshit (who you made up for all I know) is not "Seattle cyclists threatening to injure pedestrians."

Seriously. Are you stupid?

Please wait...
