Canterbury...wow...I used to drink there during the 80s after I arrived in Seattle. That place will last longer than the Middle Ages did. Looking at 15th on Google Maps, it hasn't changed much in that amount of time, despite all the density.

@2 Have you been there since the remodel? Canterbury in name only. Nice spot, perhaps a bit too bougie for my taste, but they should have definitely changed the name. Not even close to the same experience.

@2 A pitcher of Manny's is $21.

Maybe you guys should ask these bartenders if they're earning above $15/hr after tips.

I used to have breakfast at the Canterbury in late 1970s.
Haven't been back in 30 years.

As to your series on bartenders - dumb. She and the rest seem like very nice people but the idea of the series is lame.

@4, holy crap, really? That's, uh, different. Or maybe not different anymore, which is terrible.

@6, no, you are lame. I like bartenders, myself. I'd like to see this as a daily.

I remember at least one remodel, but there must have been others since them.

Breakfast, yes! Also that place next to it, the house with the open garden in the front. That was so many different places, mostly veggie.

@6 and @7 No, no, no.
You are both the lamerist. I'd like to see this as an update every five minutes.

@8, you mean Cause Celebre? One of Seattle's earliest and finest hippie establishments. It's the first place I ever had an espresso, in about 1975 or 6. It's a Thai restaurant now.
