Charles: as you know, game hens have a different name in Britain (poussins). I was once in Safeway in Lancashire, and the checkout lady referred to my purchase as "pussy chickens". They've been pussy chickens in our house ever since.
Good Morning Charles,
Man, I LOVE game hens or poussins! Probably the closest relative to Cornish game hens. I purchase them at University Seafood & Poultry, easily my favorite food store. These poussins are raised in South Carolina vs. Cornwall but they taste just the same. I BBQ them. Delicious. I refer to them as mini-chickens. I used to date this gal who's kid loved them. It's a great meal but I serve them with red wine, yellow potatoes and BBQed asparagus or Brussels sprouts. Excellent fare.
