For some reason I never had any trouble with Richie Rich comics growing up. Maybe it was because of his pudding face, maybe it was because Richie never seemed to draw any attention to the fact he had all that money, and always looked a little surprised by it. Maybe it was because he was a dork, and I wasn't threatened by him. BUT I AM SUPER ANGRY AND THREATENED BY HIM NOW. Especially in this trailer from Netflix for their new Richie Rich series (all first season episodes debuting tomorrow, February 20).
While the show is obviously just another one of those Disney/Nickelodeon kid actor screech fests, this one drives me insane with rage because Richie has a smirk that you want to smack into the next galaxy, the kids look they were plucked directly from a 1990s Sunny-D commercial, and he has a sexy teenage robot maid because he's a misogynist little prick. Fuck this guy.
