No, that's NOT okay. For anyone to win a prize that wrote over 100 words is grossly unfair to those that did a word count and kept it ~100 or under.

There's an art and skill to expressing oneself concisely in the fewest words as possible. Folks probably spent a lot of time boiling their thoughts down.

You can't change the contest rules at your whim after they've been announced. I'll think twice next time I enter one of these. Geez.

That's 26 IUDs ready to be inserted.

@1 just discovered life is fucking unfair.

How's that for concision?
4
@3: Rather poor actually, expletives and profanity are unnecessary modifiers that circumvent concision.

Sez, the commenter who had to use two more words than me to make their point...

The writer mentioned that planned parenthood is there because they care and they don't condemn or judge you. That's the least of your worries. The author does not give you the full picture-you will be judging yourself for killing your own baby the rest of your life. You will be judged by a God to whom you are accountable for. Whether you believe it or not, there is a higher being to whom we owe explanations. My words are not from the sidelines. My visit to planned parenthood was one of the worse mistakes of my life.

@6: You didn't make a mistake, you made a decision. Same for all women. Every woman (and girl) is fully aware of the consequences of her decision and she has a right to those consequences even if someone else thinks that she is too young to understand them. That it was a mistake for you in the context of your Christianity is your prerogative and you should already know and be comforted that God has forgiven you.

@6 now that you have opportunity in front of you, use it to go back to school and learn science and grammar. You're woefully uneducated.

@6, Fake!

As a former grantwriter for Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho, thank you! The antis are so much more vocal out here in the hinterlands, and working in that sort of environment just adds a certain bs to the usual day-to-day of any job. Again! Thank you!

@10, Thank you, Sarah.
