To die from a selfie is to die a truly 21st century death. This kind of exit only came into prominence with the massification and globalization of smartphones and the digital camera. This way to go is the new nature. Indeed, Wikipedia points out that in 2015 "more people have been killed taking selfies than by shark attacks."

Here is the best selfie-related injury and the best selfie-related death of the year that recently entered eternity.

Best Injury:

A man from San Diego was hospitalised for five days following an attempt to take a selfie with a rattlesnake.
Those five hospital days and the anti-venom medication left him with a bill of $153,161.

Best death:

In January, two young men blew themselves up in the Ural Mountains while taking a selfie holding a hand grenade with the pin pulled out. The mobile phone with the selfie survived as a record.

This is what it's like to live and die in the post-future.
