wait... are they intimating that the SPD pushed him off the building? based on what?

@2: so... not evidence, then.

Everything's a conspiracy. Everything.

@4: your use of quotation marks is peculiar. are you sure YOU'RE not a cop?

Here's a more detailed article that might shed some light; not on the circumstances of the teen's death, but on the emotional climate that culminated in the event being reported on here.

@8: thanks. unsubstantiated rumors and ethnic paranoia driving "fuck the police" protests. we're devolving.

My question is this: Was the area he jumped/fell from restricted and if so, how did he get there? Campuses have their own security, so if it was a restricted area it could be that he was lured there and then pushed or thrown by some psycho on the staff. If it wasn't a restricted area, it could have been some random psycho. And it doesn't have to be an anti-Muslim crime. It could have been a rapist or mugger or something, and he was trying to get away.

But why bother with all that? It's much more fun to have a rally and yell about the cops.

yea, I guess the main unanswered questions are: Who's apartment was it, and was anyone there with him? That part seems simple, so I'm confused why we don't know.

@13 - I got the impression that while the investigation is pending they're hoping to sort out the pieces without polluting the situation vs. one of those "we're asking the public if anyone saw anything" cases. That's and optimistic view, of course.

It is pretty simply really. The person was nonwhite, so it was assumed by some people that it had to be a hate crime because they really wanted it to be a hate crime.

Once the police announced there was no evidence of foul play, the conspiracy theory was shifted to the "nationwide police genocide" conspiracy theory umbrella.

And the wheel keeps turning.

Please wait...
