Tonight, take advantage of a brief respite from the rain (probably) and explore the art world of Pioneer Square.

"First Thursday" is Seattle’s oldest (and most centrally located) art walk. Openings abound—many with free wine and appetizers—and it’s a chance to quickly and effortlessly immerse yourself in the world of Pioneer Square galleries. The event also offers some of the best people-watching available in the city, from stuffy yuppies looking to decorate their condo to ultra-hip and grungy youngsters looking to score some no-strings-attached booze. It's a free and easy way to walk, see art, and socialize—and we've made it even easier for you.

All of February's openings are right here on our Things To Do calendar, complete with a mobile-friendly map and recommendations from Jen Graves (marked in blue on the map below).

If you're pressed for time, make sure not to miss Darius X: A Boy Named Soo at Gallery4Culture, and Ryan Molenkamp & Kentree Speirs at Linda Hodges Gallery. You can also see some of our January picks that are still open, like The Potato Eaters at Greg Kucera Gallery, Anne Wilson: Drawings and Objects and Bing Wright: Silver/Surface at James Harris Gallery, and Matt Sellars at Platform Gallery.

As always, you can find a full list of all of the art shows going on right now on our Things To Do: Art calendar.
