D*mn, Paul--you just made me tear-up with that last paragraph. That might sum up my procrastination complex--what's keeping me from ripping off the Band-Aid that's keeping me affixed to the Emerald City. Ugh. Not to steal away from the subject--the author of your review--but I think the fact that you just dredged that out of me means that you're one amazing writer yourself... Excuse me; now I have to go do some journaling...

As someone who spent a good-sized chunk of youth living in SF, this makes me terribly wistful and nostalgic. Looks like a book I'd better buy!
