SECOND, WOOOO!!!!!!!

@ Friday: For the second year in a row, more American soldiersā€”both enlisted men and women and veteransā€”committed suicide than were killed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
4
@3: I know. War is so senseless.
5
@4: War settled slavery and Nazi-ism, so it's not COMPLETELY senseless. Just mostly.

Also: Glitzkrieg. Awesome!
6
@5: Stop killing your brain with mind-numbingly stupid arcade games and wake up! You must be a completely nutzoid little troll if you think war is cool. War is not a game of Battleship! When you add up all the innocent lives, countrysides, and architecture lost, to me, war IS senseless. It's not a championship sport in which the winning team gets the trophy, the car, and a free trip to Disneyland.

Are you active military or a veteran? If you are neither, I suggest you sign up and serve your country. Then, when and if you're called into war and witness seeing people, both military and civilian, around you getting brutally attacked, raped, and killed and buildings blown up, you MIGHT not think "Glitzkieg" is so "awesome".
And good luck if you get post-traumatic stress disorder because of it.
More's the pity.

Auntie G: I think Ram knows war is bad, but how else to stop slavery and the holocaust? I din't think both of those responsible would've been receptive to a discussion and then quit..

Also, the "Glitzkrieg" was in reference to a Goodwill sale and the term to describe the sale.I think he simply thought the term funny.

I love your comments, otherwise.

@7 aeros66: Thanks for the feedback and clarifications. You made some good points. Well taken.
When I read @5's post, to me it sounded like Ram was into violent war games. I didn't get the "Glitzkrieg" joke.

@5 Ram: I'm sorry for jumping to the wrong conclusions. I get bugged by war-profiteers who erroneously believe that U.S. taxpayer-funded propagandic destruction of other countries is "necessary" in order to "stimulate the economy". I think it's sad to think of war as the final solution, no matter what the situation.

Chances are, the Humptulips drifter was probably on meth. It's a problem everywhere, but, it's especially bad down here...too rural, many places to cover up your lab, dump the toxic waste, etc. That and the rampant thievery are what lead the owner of Rainier Lanes to put on his reader board that was was sick of all the meth heads and thieves in Grays Harbor. They stole his downspouts to sell for scrap.

@5: Ahhhh!! Sorry--it took me a while. the Glitter Sale!!
Obviously, I don't go shopping very much.

Please wait...
