Eventually No Means No

I reckon NAMBLA's antidepressants have turned off his libido, and quite possibly given him some sort of depersonalisation syndrome while they're at it.

antidepressants killed my libido too. it's better to go off them and live a real life, unless you really really really need them.

Wow, that man chose THE worse send off. NAMBLA, for those who don't know, is the North American Man Boy Love Association (thank you South Park for that interesting tid-bit).

Dan you really missed this. He sees a therapist and asks "My antidepressants not working?". Sounds chemically induced, slam dunk. He needs to get off the meds and see if that is doing it.

All this "go off your meds" advice is really bad. Never just go off your meds. Instead, talk to the doctor who prescribed them. Maybe you need a new doctor, if they're not a specialist in psychiatry. Tell them you think your drugs are having a negative effect, and ask if there are other drugs without that side-effect. And when I say, without that side-effect, I don't mean that they won't do the same thing, or something else just as unpleasant. You have to try a bunch of things until you find what works for you, since the same meds affect everyone differently. Make sure you keep a routine throughout the changing meds, and ask someone you trust and see frequently (preferably multiple times a week, if not daily) to tell you if they're making you more or less crazy. Give every medication three weeks, unless the side-effects are severe.

Glad to see I'm not the only one for whom "My antidepressants not working?" jumped out of the page.
