Dan, you make the world a better, less prejudiced, more fabulous place. Your column got my through the worst relationship of my life, and your witty sarcasm makes me cry with laughter. <3

Christ even MORE bigoted biphobia from Dan Savage.

The guy is talking out of his ass when it comes to saying how male bisexuality does not exist. Savage is not a sex "expert" or someone who knows anything about human sexuality at all.

He's no better than Dr. J. Michael Bailey or the "ex gay" people.

Why not just say how you hate bisexuals and trans people Dan? Everyone knows you're bigoted towards bisexuals and trans people since they can read it in your replies.

Wow, charming Dan. Bi men don't exist eh? It's all 'just a phase.' I'm afraid I agree with James above, it's a blatant bit of bi-phobia, made even more stunning by it's abject heteronormativism- women are 'naturally' bisexual, and even lesbians are fluid... yet somehow gay men are not.

Did you think that the cousin is clearly not closeted. He's been open and honest with a family member about same sex attraction and has chosen to marry a woman. That's called bisexuality not being closeted.

Yes, Dan Savage often implies or outright declares that he is suspicious of male bisexuals. However, he does cite studies and his own personal and professional experience. Also, it has been a good time archive-wise since I read a response which left no room for bisexuals. In this column, that would be the "mostly gay." Given the evidence, it would seem advisable to assume most men are not bisexual. Not attack them or refuse evidence to the contary, just don't always jump to bisexuality as the answer.

Since Dan Savage has often and repeatedly dealt with bi issues, talked with bi men on his podcast, respondent to bi men and women etc, I fail to see what the problem is - you're putting words in his mouth. Dan has never said bi men don't exist or that bisexuality is bad or something. If his reading of scientific studies leads him to understand that female sexual arousal patterns are different to male ones and if it is a fact that many men consider themselves bisexual during the develepment of their sexuality I see no problem in his responses, especially since he is positive towards people's sexualities wherever they are on the orientation scale.

Whatever you may not like about Dan's opinions, it's ludicrous to try and pin some bi-phobia or non-normative-gender/sexuality-phobia on him.

Please wait...
