The class/presentation was quite good (although the room was a bit echoey), and we received these info-packed zines with the history of dazzle camouflage and other info. Pretty well done.

Usefully, a simple dark hair extension across the face is enough to fool face-recog software.

Oh, and we got to practice designs on our own faces and put them up against the software. Pretty neat exercise.

Can we just address the last line real quick? Suffocation by blocked pores, really? How long as that myth been a thing?

Mythbusters went further than clogged pores from makeup and straight into paint:

Jamie was covered in gold paint from head to toe and lasted over an hour without reporting any major ill effects, besides a slight (and temporary) flu-like feeling, as he described it. The myth stated that the actress portraying the gold plated woman in Goldfinger, Shirley Eaton, died as well. Ms. Eaton did survive the filming of Goldfinger and went on to appear in many more feature films and a segment for the show in which she confirmed she was still alive.

Busted.
