The 19th annual Neighbor Appreciation Day is a day to "reach out, create new bonds, and express thanks to those who live or work around us." There are events taking place all around town. Block parties, potlucks and work parties are being hosted by community centers, city parks, and fire stations. Highlights include a Japanese tea ceremony and Shishimai lion dance in the ID, a mystery book exchange in Phinney Ridge, and invasive plant removal in Rainier Beach.
