Mozart's "Requiem"

Benaroya Hall (map) Downtown

This program presents two bridges. The first is pioneering vocalist and composer Gabriel Kahane's 'Crane Palimpsest,' an orchestra-pop take on Hart Crane's great long poem about the Brooklyn Bridge, The Bridge. The second is Mozart's stunning Requiem, the deathbed Mass, which is of course a bridge between life and death. Get ready for the Seattle Choral Company's "Confutatis." Shit's going to be alternately apocalyptic and angelic all night. Voca me.
