The thing you must do with this film is to somehow not watch its last minute. Up to that point, it is perfect in every way. Set in the mid-'60s, I Knew Her Well is about a young, vivacious, and very beautiful country gal, Adriana (Stefania Sandrelli), who moves to a big city, Rome, and tries to realize her celebrity, movie star, supermodel dreams. But she soon discovers that there is no way to the top that does not involve sex. And the people promising her access the top are as morally bankrupt as the people at the top.

Rome's mod-age glitterati turn out to have very little talent, make up stories all of the time, and break any promise they make. Adriana at first goes along with this, but then she slowly begins to draw a line between what she is willing to do and not to do for fame. She also begins searching for her identity. But when she realizes who she is, the film falls apart. The good news is that this realization only happens in the very last minute.

The film also has lots of pop music and fantastic dance scenes: dancing in the clubs, parties, on tables, and so on. Everyone in this movie can shake their thing. The last dance scene will blow your mind. We don't move like that anymore. recommended
