I'm not that into Atomic Blonde, but cool that you liked it. I love Charlize, and I seriously might see it, but it's not revolutionary or new to feature a woman in the lead role in an action movie or spy movie.

Oh yeah, and a spy movie starting a woman that was actually called ... wait for it ... SPY. And she was even fat and over 40!

We're not mining back into the 80's to put this list together. Hollywood is REGULARLY making action/spy/thriller movies that star women. There's a couple EVERY YEAR.

By all means, like Atomic Blonde. It looks okay. I'll watch Charlize year a sandwich for 2 hours. But WHAT FUCKING KNUCKLE DRAGGERS?

I saw the movie, it was awesome. Far better than the 2 1/2 stars the Seattle Times gave it. Take your politically correct horsecrap and stick it, this movie was fine entertainment and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I take strong exception at your characterization of what makes a good spy movie ("the hallmark of a good one is giving up and saying, 'Whatever, it’s fun!'"), but I'm glad to hear this one is worth a watch. It's on my list of things to check out, even if I have to do it solo. (And isn't it nice that I have to juggle which movies I'd like to see this summer, because there's so many!)
