How many of these films are gonna get made? Yet another plastic surgery, survivor, revenge story. Damn, can't someone come up with something better than remaking the SAME EXACT plot again?

@2 Sounds like they took the story in a completely different direction. Few things in the synopsis--chess, stepdaughter, drowning, etc.--appear in the Petzold film.

@3 I wouldn't use the word "revenge" to describe what happens at the end. It's more subtle than that, but also more devastating for what isn't said/done.
