so glad seattle finally got this! this being south indian food :-) Of course, I'm not there anymore...but I'm in san francisco, so there's plenty here too.
Malabar's south indian food is crap, its heresy to even call it "Malabar". Chili's is good, the dosa was above average. The folks running it are nice too.
If you're a college student on a budget, go here. If you're an Indian food hack, go here. If you've ever been to South India, go here. If you're a sucker for sweet, wide smiles...well, you get the idea.
Dude, I wish you would've mentioned what time they stop serving all that stuff. I've walked in clear past 7:30 on a Sat during the summer and dosas to no avail.
I think it's the best Subcontinent food in the region. And if you are not ethnically from that part of the world, you will probably be the only one such in the place. Worth the trip.
