sounds like a good time. i just want to
know how you pick your spots. via word of
mouth from others, or a little research
in your free time? and have you ever gone
somewhere and said to yourself, "get me
the #$%* out of here"? sometimes i have
a hard time digesting swankier locations,
and prefer it slightly trashy. also @1, i
agree. we all want to know where to go. it
makes me feel more connected to city life.
I love this column, and Mudede's perceptions and comments.
Great point about those living in the suburbs and rural areas. Very accurate. The farther people live from the core of a large city, the blander their palates are. People choose the suburbs for many reasons, one of them being that the 'burbs feel "safe" for certain people and along with that desire for "safety" comes an un-adventuresome palate, hence the large amount of Olive Garden and Applebees.

Didn't the best intact revolutions start in the countryside?
