Aug 6 Chali2Na commented on What Happened After an Undercover Cop Elbowed Me at a Protest and Lied About It.
(The department prefers the word "plainclothes" to "undercover" for describing officers who are trying—and sometimes failing—to blend in and not be noticed. "Undercover" officers, in the department's nomenclature, are officers who are deliberately adopting the identity of someone else. But the popular term is "undercover," so I'll keep using it here.)

Sorry, Ansel, if you want to be taken seriously AT ALL you cannot just pick a term to fit your narrative. A now false narrative, considering the word you chose is not factually correct. Your job as a journalist is to convey to the reader what the correct term is. There was a time when a piece like this wouldn't even make it past the fact checking segment of a J-101 class. You guys do fact check over at The Stranger, right? RIGHT???

@2 The Terminator pulls ideas from a few sources. Check out "Colossus: The Forbin Project".
May 29 Chali2Na commented on Fox News Panel Uses Logical Fallacy to Slam Seattle Kayaktivists.
Greg Gutfeld has his tongue firmly planted in his cheek every time he opens his mouth on air. i mean, he is the host of Red Eye. I'm amazed you'd even dedicate Slog space to anything he says. He is pretty entertaining though, and you'd love him if he was on anything but Fox News (and doing the same shtick, but for the other side).
May 22 Chali2Na commented on White Protestor in Olympia Says He's Gotten Caught Shoplifting There Before, But Cops Didn't Shoot Him.
Charles, in your first post on the story, you referred to the two shoplifters as "men". In this post, you refer to them as "boys". Twenty-something males are considered men, not boys. Do not interchange the two in order to fit some narrative. It's irresponsible.

Anytime you feel the conditions there are unconstitutional, just scroll through the list of inmates again and you'll feel a lot less sympathy.

Thing Chelsea Manning also has more of than me: years in prison. I think I'll be okay.

I don't blame him for quitting. It must have been painful for him to watch the Seahawks over the last few years and keep spouting off about how sports have no cultural or economic significance.

"it’s painful to see white-owned businesses try and make money off of black culture"

You mean, like, the rap industry itself?
Dec 17, 2014 Chali2Na commented on Sony Is Not Releasing The Interview on Christmas; US Officials Say North Korea Was "Centrally Involved" with the Hack.
@10 You say that is if this is the first movie to ever portray North Korea in a negative light or poke fun at them. "Team America" was ruthless on North Korea and Kim Jong Il. No outcry. The "Red Dawn" remake was digitally altered to make the antagonists North Korean (instead of Chinese). No outcry.

Now, all of a sudden, North Korea has a problem with Hollywood scripts? Seems random.
Dec 16, 2014 Chali2Na commented on Sony Hackers Threaten Terrorist Attacks on Movie Theaters Showing The Interview.
@15 "200" and "201" are the banned episodes from Season 14 that had Stan's (or Kyle's, I can't remember) censored speech about terrorists. It was another Mohammed episode where they censored the character again, but this time Matt and Trey did it on purpose. The episode leaked online and you can find the actual speech that Comedy Central wouldn't air.

Also, speaking of Matt and Trey, I don't seem to recall a whole lot of bitching from North Korea when Team America was released ten years ago. Kim Jong Il was mocked heavily in that one. Shows you what society we live in now. Everyone is hypersensitive, whereas even North Korea didn't give a shit back then about American lampooning its fearless leader.
