As per @2's suggestion of returning home immediately... LW, I understand not wanting to run away from being abroad because you don't want to leave on a bad note, or have travel forever seem traumatizing and scary. I am also a young woman who can often be found travelling alone. One of my favourite ways to stay long term is to find a workaway host family (workaway.info
) and stay with a family and help prune olive trees or milk cows or whatever. It gives me a safe place, families who have always welcomed me into their home and made me feel like I was really part of the family, and a truly different experience from touristing because you're living the local life with a local family. Also, it's super cheap because the agreement is that they feed you and house you in exchange for helping construct the chicken coop or whatever. It's something I've done lots of times and I've always had wonderful families take me in. Whatever you decide I hope that the future is less awful than what has just happened to you. Good luck!
