@23 - I think it's only the pundits whom think that Trump supporters are insecure, or feel victimized or misunderstood. It is inherently impossible to evaluate other people's feelings based on a criteria that we proscribe. No, Trump supporters voted (even though a large subset can't stand the man's vulgarity) because they felt that the country was going in the wrong direction and couldn't stomach four more years of it. It's that simple.

We inevitably chase red herrings when we try to psychoanalyze populations based on demographics and stereotypes.
