Imagine The Stranger covering every shooting (even non-fatal) in the same area that they cover other shootings. That is, America. That would be an average of 20,000 suicides and 10,000 deaths plus at least another 10,000 non-fatal shootings. So around 40,000 incidents a year.
Over 100 a day.
But the problem would be that the majority would be suicide or non-White.
Which would not get the same page hits that the stories they do cover get.
Look at the stories that they do cover.
Look at the stories that they do not cover.
