Wait what? I'm pretty sure there is no special technology here - that's just what it looks like when you place a subject behind a semi-opaque sheet. The effect appears the same to the naked eye as it does in the photographs.

@19 Pale fire is a superior work of literature but Lolita is close behind and substantially more American. Just in terms of coverage, New Wye splits time with Zembla and cannot compete with the epic spanning blur of motels and hotels and motor court(room)s across our lower 48.
