Believe me, thanks to McGinn's lack of experience and his manic focus on a very few issues, the SPD is not the only City department with a serious leadership vacuum. And it's not a small issue - it's kind of important to have adults in charge because the risks to city assets are big.

I've read several of the books on the list (Gone Girl isn't prize worthy in my book) but one that should be on the list is "Carry the One" by Carol Anshaw.

An excellent story with excellent writing and a real bead on a big wedge of American culture.
