Women in the City Also Being Vaporized by Aliens.
@4 well, I suppose you would have ask Anna Minard why it's *here* - but I took the photo with an eye to the surreal. I found it odd to see a glossy pair of mismatched yet seemingly intact, large high heels next to a bus stop. They felt placed there as art more than trash. I'm not saying they *are* art.. just that the vibrant color pop on the grey street was art to me.

Bradley Manning in His Own Words.
Bradley Manning is a TRUE patriot. He stood up for the morals he believed in, specifically that people shouldn't be dehumanized and murdered by a US Military filled with immature bullies that are the same asshats they were in high school. The primary change being they have more bravado and less empathy. The men in the helicopter responsible for gunning down innocent civilian reporters and children without remorse, have been trained on the mechanics of death. Yet they still don't comprehend it's true cost and are most likely in desperate need of psychiatric assistance. (side note: This isn't headline news in the USA.. To get this news, we have to go to the UK. Wonder why.. .)

Overheard in the Office.
I'd never understood this.. so is it that comprised is like "composed of" so to say 'comprised of' - is kinda like saying "composed of of" ?

Drones and the Logic of Post-Neoliberalism.
Remember how crazy it was to hold your first cell phone conversation? When technology shrunk the world just a bit? Children today are being born into a world where what we call a drone will be ubiquitous telepresence devices. They will deliver our food and our overnight express packages. In the not too distant future, a tiny one could pop off your belt, providing real-time overhead views to an augmented headset like google glass. Like all technology, they can and probably will be used maliciously. Regulations are needed, but 3d-printers and open source projects like this show that implementing such regulations could prove difficult.
