when I went to Africa (to bury my ma-in-law) at the headwaters of the Nile , there was talk of snakes and crocs and big cats , but I only saw cows (at the dairy) and birds. People seem to be amazed that they have color tv and all that. When my wife came here (in the 70s) her family worried that it was all ma and pa kettle and KKK here .you know,hillbillies.
