The Morning News: Someone Heckles Michelle Obama, Dzhokhar Gets to Call Home, and John McCain Is a Genius (Not Really, Though).
Some children have long had the experience they can step back and forth across the line. "Sit down or there will be consequences." They don't sit down. "OK, here are the promised consequences." Now they sit down, and expect from long experience, that the consequences will be cancelled. Except outside of their homes, and their schools, life doesn't work that way. I bet they were astonished when they were made to deplane even after they all tried to step back over to the compliant side of the line. It's too bad their school principal is backing the students up. This could have been a rare field trip where the students actually learned something useful.
Google for instance Romer v. Evans. The decision was a big deal and a major turning point for the better in this country, in my opinion.
