I hate to call it a phase - since I feel like he shaped my entire perspective growing up - but I haven't read Vonnegut since engulfing the oeuvre as a teen.

What would be a good book to give to my young daughter in order to hopefully get her hooked? Cats Cradle is my assumption. Mother Night? I should re read and assess for myself I suppose - but time being what it is....

I won't say it is the best Stooges cover but John Zorn and Yamatsuka Eye did a cover of TV Eye for Electra's 40th anniversary celebration disc Rubaiyat. Kinda awesome.

@6 I believe it is in "E Unibus Pluram" his essay ostensibly about television but more generally about irony; I think he paints Mark Leyner as an example of all that is wrong with contemporary American culture.

Which does not really speak to whether or not he was jelly.
