I took my very young daughter to OSG after a summer-day visit to the sculpture park. When we were done she desperately needed to go potty so I took her to the men's room with me. The one stall there was a hideous wonderland: someone had somehow sprayed diarrhea across three walls of the stall, as if from Hell's own water gun, and it was running down the walls in brown ooze. We looked at it for a moment and my kid asked, "What's that?" and I said, "Someone had an accident. Can you hold it until we get home?"

"Yes," she said. We never went back.

"What does this mean for us as listeners? We're being pushed into a corner where we'll need to pay up, or be subjected to an increasing number of ads."

So you don't want to support the artists you listen to with your money? How the fuck do you think they can keep making music if you don't pay for it?

The Lego Movie is not actually great, 21 Jump Street was kind of sporadically funny, and your enthusiasm for this series is a strike against it.

Actually, you can skip the related Pink Floyd songs and just enjoy Syd on his own terms. You are correct: "Late Night" is mad dreamy romantic and was an obsessive unrequited love song for me in college. If you want to fast forward a decade plus on this train, go directly to Chris Bell's album "I Am the Cosmos."

Good luck! And does this mean more Sara Dickerman in the Stranger?

I've stayed at Doe Bay many times over the years and I love it. But if you're expecting a typical resort experience, it's not for you.

Terrific article. I'm thrilled to see Sara Dickerman writing for the Stranger again!

Before they added air conditioning, the balcony would get crazy hot during SIFF. I remember seeing a Secret Festival movie there from England and between the thick accents and all the fans they had running, I could not understand any of the dialogue.

Then there were those couple rows of seats just above the middle crossing aisle that sat in some kind of dip and you couldn't ever read subtitles from those rows. Maddening! But of course, once you knew then you just avoided those rows for foreign films.

The Egyptian is also where I saw Baraka in 70mm at a special screening. I've never seen a movie look as beautiful as that, even at the Cinerama.

I'm so very glad it's coming back.
