@13, well, what did you expect? Saying that there are 9,000 gun-related homicides a year (most of which involve gang-bangers, drug dealers, or other ne'er-do-wells) just doesn't have the same impact.

These people don't use actual facts for a reason — appealing to emotions is generally more successful.

Hope you guys are having fun masturbating over that "gun control" that's never going to happen. If you ever decide to wake up from your fantasy world, let me know.

Change? I've been drinking Jager continuously since 1990. I'm about as straight as it gets. Pay attention, Dan.

Delirian @16 has the best understanding of the legalities involved here of any of you. And yes, you can kick and scream and hold your breath as much as you want, but that doesn't change the fact that this was a legal, legitimate shooting.

Wait — everybody in this country is getting butt-fucked by a handful of multi-billionaires, and we're not supposed to say "fuck?" Screw that shit.

Oh, and don't waste your time trotting out your single, 30-year-old "study" that shows that 40% of guns used by criminals are bought at gun shows. It was dubious (at best) even all those years ago, and certainly has no credibility today.
Mar 30 Fifty-Two-Eighty commented on Police Beat: The Guns of University District.
You make it sound incredibly easy. Obviously, it isn't, though, because we know that very few (if any) criminals actually obtain their guns that way. The overwhelming majority of them are stolen, and your precious laws wouldn't make one whit of difference to those transactions.

@26: Of course not. You can't honestly believe that gang-bangers obtain their guns legally, can you?
Mar 29 Fifty-Two-Eighty commented on Police Beat: The Guns of University District.
The most interesting thing about the proponents of gun control is that they're incapable of winning the argument using logic. Thus, you see them resort to the name-calling that's so apparent here. It's actually a very clear admission of defeat, and most rational people can see through it pretty quickly.

Personally, I blame global warming. It has about as much to do with this shooting as the NRA did.
