As much as I loved it, I felt there was a good 30-45 minutes missing from this film to get into a better theatrical run time. Like Watchmen, a directors cut would probably solve many of peoples issues with things not being touched on enough. I really hope one is coming.

Technically, Virgin Galactic provides sub-orbital flight...so he isn't really going to 'outer space'

No way we will see the PW next week. Last shot will be Lady SH being pulled from the water or Jon looking down over the wall at a certain large thing.

GRRM has been confirmed to be writing ep 2 next season so I imagine that is when we will get the PW.

@29, can't do that. That is what his acting father goes by.

@57 sure we do that with orbital craft DESIGNED to go in and out of atmo. Original Star Trek canon lists that the Enterprise was never designed to go in and out of a gravity well like that. Entering high orbit (like shown in the TOS episode mentioned) is a bit different then parking a star ship at the bottom of a fucking ocean.

@58 Intrepid Class star ships are smaller and designed to land on planets. That was part of the whole point of that class of star ship. The warp nacelles even folded up for atmospheric entry.

@4, I remember when Midnight Run came out on video and we wanted to see it. Dad went to the video store and came back with Midnight Crossing. After watching it (and Mother being pissed she let her 13 year old son see it) he went back the next day to rent the right movie. He came home with Midnight Express.

After that, Dad was never allowed to go to the video store without us.

@15, A.I.M. was contracted to deal with the whole Iron Patriot make over-marketing campaign thingy. This is mentioned in the film. Its no surprise if they were able to sneak something into the programing to allow it. Or also since the US Air Force seems to have loaned posssesion of the WM/IP suit, they too could have removed the retinal scan/security settings.

What bugged me more about the Iron Patriot part of the story: he is on the mission to Pakistan, gets caught by Killian's people and thus out of communication with his superiors. Even for a short amount of time this would be been a concern. But then he just shows up to join Air Force One with no questions asked?

@4 Also, Tony was there at the moment. The suits were all back in Malibu. No time to get them there. Unless you are talking about Jarvis controlling the Mark 42 at that time.
