the DNA = fingerprints thing is a false equivalency. there is way waaay waaaaaay more private info in DNA, and once the govt has it there is at least the potential for them to abuse it. strike against mandatory sampling.
however, it sure does help solve crime. point in favor.
it is a difficult issue. not very black and white.

note: the scotus vote did not split on party lines!

My pizza stone broke. Into about 5 or so pieces. Sure, it is a cheap one, and sure, maybe I mistreated it. But at least one advantage of this piece of metal thing is that it wouldn't break.
We still use the stone. We just keep all the pieces together in the oven. But sometimes they shift and move around and our crusts catch on the edges....annoying.

i wouldn't worry too much about the impact of 40+ women having children on the total population. i suspect that even though the PERCENTAGE of 40+ women having children is going up, that PERCENTAGE is actually still quite smaller than the ABSOLUTE NUMBER of 20- and 30-somethings having children.
