@23: I'm talking about BoBs who are still going Green at this point, not "anyone". I don't expect my Dad will change from Trump to Clinton.

I don't believe Clinton's going to come off as robotic as you think. She didn't come off that way in the Dem debates.

@5: you know as well as I that the national committees have always put a thumb on the scale of party politics. as far as I know the "revelations" of "corruption" showed no actual overt actions, let alone a determining effect on the outcome.

so yeah, the Russians. fuck the Russians.

@1: Is this truly more "corrupt" than you expected? Sanders wasn't even a Democrat until he declared. If anything, the "corruption" is about a tenth of what it would have been 50 years ago.

I'm not in favor of Putin's minions interfering with our democracy, imperfect as it is. Are you?

What the BoBs need is time. Time to witness the coming shit show. It will clarify the options and strychnine won't look equivalent. The 1st debate ought to do it.

having been on the inside of a Hope VI "demolition", I kept looking for the misery. there was fear, but there was also excitement and participation. i never saw misery - moving costs were paid & no one had to move more than twice. and now it's a far better, safer, DENSER, neighborhood, with middle class homeowners living side by side with Somali immigrants. people jog through from outside because there's parks. the adjacent homes have skyrocketed in value.

the program's dead and buried now, thanks to Republiks, and 1000s of poor people in the PNW are still living in substandard housing thrown up in a couple months by WW2 work crews. 70 years ago.

@8: ah, the old "anything can be a deadly weapon, why single out deadly weapons" fallacy.

double militia duties for you, including "servicing".

@4, 7: ISIL is being squeezed in their territory, hard. by Putin, by Obama, by the Kurds, even by the Iraqi Shiites.

so they're lashing out elsewhere, trying to provoke a reaction from the west that they can use to rally all Sunnis to their cause. widespread expulsions of Muslims, atrocities like carpet bombing Raqqa, etc. that's what they want to provoke.

they want a broader war, because they're delusional end-timers. eventually the west will grant their wish, particularly if they can get a quick-draw idiot like Trump in charge of the US.

it all comes back to Bush the Lesser depriving the Sunnis of control of Iraq.

9:57 AM yesterday Max Solomon commented on Bernie Sanders: "Hillary Clinton must become the next president of the United States!".
The naïve "I'm going green" Sandernistas are having a poutrage. They'll come around before November, as Trump's malignant narcissism goes on full display. Particularly at the debates, when I expect Clinton to dismember him as a shouting fool without a fact in his head. She's dealt with actual, nation-ruling strongmen face-to-face. Trump's a clown in comparison.

America is going to tire of his act, of what Sanders labeled, accurately, his "bombast".
