All well and good, but, really, is there any real reason for those born without the spirituality gene (and I'll pretend it's a genetic thing for the sake of argument) to look down on those that are born with it as unevolved? Is that really necessary?

So Dan, your temples started graying when you were, what, 19?

Riz, thanks for the links, but I'm not talking so much about playing sports, I mean just being a sports fan. You know, Mariners, Seahawks, Trailblazers and all that.

It's been my observation in the gay sports groups I've belonged to in the past that many of the members are,

1) closeted (they're often gay guys that can "pass", so they do, the chickenshits),

2) using sports as a way to "compensate" for being gay, or

3) using the group as a way to meet guys (nothing wrong with that, of course) or just be social; they're often not all that into the sport that the group is about.

I guess I just expect too much. Expecting a large percentage of the gay male population to be into sports is like expecting a large percentage of the straight male population to be into shopping. It just ain't gonna happen.

I'm glad that's how it is for you, rev, but I've had waaay too many gay guys look at me like I've got seven heads when I tell them I'm into sports.

Cool. Someday, it actually might be acceptable for gay guys to like sports. Maybe.

Goldy, you shouldn't have to make excuses for digging sports.
