The Only Thing More Tragic than a Bridge Collapse Would Be a 10 Cent a Gallon Increase in the Gas Tax.
@39, Where "the trolls" = 2 people who corrected a factual error with some light snark.
You are easily the bitchiest and most self-assured writer on Slog, so you should be ready to handle a little bit in return. When you show up in the comments calling everyone a bunch of fucking assholes, you're inviting even more blowback. If you can't handle it you should consider closing comments on your posts, or just don't read them.

New California Law Could Prohibit Protesters From Riding Public Transit.
If they are protesting inside a train or station then yeah, sorry. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences, and these measures sound reasonable -- not to mention virtually unenforceable, considering the volume of traffic on Bart.
But how exactly would they be able to single out people using Bart to travel to a street protest?

What Kind of Drugs Should You Take While at Graceland?.
I loved the jungle room but the billiards room with pleated draperies covering the walls and ceiling and matching furniture was my favorite. We regretted not taking acid but we probably made the right decision.

@87, I don't have a half hour to waste on your video but the fact that suggested videos include Alex Jones and a TOP SECRET report on chemtrails tells me everything I need to know.

@76, I don't give a fuck about Portland's water supply nor its bitter and poorly informed electorate. I just bristle at anti-science batshittery. Now have fun wasting taxpayer dollars by voting this issue down again in a few years when you don't have the city council to hold in contempt, oops I mean blame.

@71, people voting out of spite rather than a carefully considered opinion doesn't exactly help your argument that Portland voters aren't dumb.

@61, You are correct that this is an example of democracy in action and the people of Portland have made their voices heard, however this is a scientific issue and that is where the discussion should be happening, but clearly it is not. I'm guessing 60% of Portland voters are not epidemiologists. If they were this election would have had a much different outcome.
