He is getting worker's comp, but as a doorman he doesn't make much and the money he is getting from L&I is only a percentage of his salary. Also, not working means not getting tips which is usually a good chunk of a night's pay. His medical costs are at least mostly covered as far as I know, the money from this benefit is mostly to help pay his rent etc.

I don't know details, I could be wrong on some of this, but it's what I've heard. I'd be glad to see someone involved more closely comment here about what is and isn't taken care of for him.

I've known a few of his employees over the years and they are the nicest, most amazing people who get seduced by his warm, loving, open arms, soft spiritual vibe and then end up talking about how batshit he is. It's a damn shame.

I used to smoke bidis about 10-12 years ago which are similar but smaller. Unfortunately they are outlawed now as far as I know. I wouldn't be surprised if cheroots are too.

The ending was a little disappointing and I was sad that all the hours I spent rewinding and pausing and obsessing over the Lost Wiki for clues to the tiniest mysteries in every single scene were for naught. But man, wasn't it fun to have something to obsess over like that?
