But even if that were the case, seems like they could have figured something out. Ample rehearsal time, or even including him on the album but letting him drop out of the tour in a seemingly-voluntary, face-saving way. So, bad situation regardless...

I've seen references to Ward being pretty weak in recent Sabbath performances. So yes, it's probably mostly that he wanted to be treated equally and wasn't putting up with their b.s., but perhaps they didn't do everything they could to make him happy because he might not have been up to the task anyway. Could be both.

@19, I know it's not a guy. You know that "Anonymous" is a specific loose hacktivist group separate from the generic word "anonymous," right? I just hadn't seen anything confirming it was "Anonymous" that spoofed the page. I did see something after I posted that, though, so they probably did. Seems possible that the story could have spread even if it had just been some random non-affiliated person.
