If you get anything greater than disinterested courtesy at McDonald's you should be grateful. Along with piss poor wages, the person who took your order probably also suspects that their time card is being altered, and they have no control whatsoever over their schedule or lives. Oh, and no health insurance or the kind of health insurance where it's literally not worth the paper it's printed on. How nice would you be to your clients if this was happening to you?

@16, I think those are the people that Minnesota for Marriage is trotting out. Also, luv the smug little "man + woman = baby," because we all know you're not married in the eyes of god until you pop out a baby. Oh, and all of the kids that somehow are either pulled out of school or are homeschooled and have time for this nonsense. But most of the people in the state are over it. Once you've been let in on the lie, it's hard to pretend like you don't know.

Bad move. Being famous doesn't make one immune to the dangers of getting behind a wheel while drunk. What if her hubby had gotten in an accident, and hurt himself or someone else? "Do you know who I am" would have been the least of her worries.

@13, it's been my experience that there are a certain type who are attracted to the "youth pastor" role. They are the ones who never really "got" adulthood, and are perpetual teenagers themselves. They are unsuccessful launchers who sort of romanticize this age group because they want to be back in high school sooooooooooo bad. Maybe because high school was awesome, maybe because it wasn't awesome and they didn't get to do x, y or z. I think that the sexual repressiveness of most churches probably DOES make them more likely to molest.

I'd buy that song for people's Christmas presents, but then those guys get royalties. Maybe I could somehow gayify my money.

I dunno... for those of us who have had complicated relationships with our parents thanks to abuse, nonacceptance, indifference you name it..... sometimes it comes down to realizing that they did love you. Maybe they didn't love you in the way you needed, and maybe they didn't love you enough, or the right way, but they loved you in the only way they knew how. Maybe it wasn't good enough, maybe it hurt you, but learning that not all love is good is part of growing up too.
