Go Hansen, Go!! (God knows what the tickets will cost if Hansen pulls this off!) As each week passes, I have more distaste for Stern. I have tired of hearing his mealy-mouthed pronouncements. Hope the Sonics come back soon! There is no reason why the NBA can't grant Sacramento an expansion team when the new TV deal rolls through in 1 to 2 years.

Yay! Hope Mr Hansen makes David Stern look like an idiot! And I know folks who worked at Key Arena - who were laid off after the Sonics left. The new arena will create a lot of jobs - not necessarily full time, but the part time work to supplement regular incomes is VERY much appreciated by lots of workers!

@19 is right. Seattle will not be happy with "sloppy seconds" of maybe you will get an expansion team in 2 to 3 years. Lots will happen to kill a new proposal in the meantime - such as McGinn no longer mayor. Hanson's deal was a very good one - fhe best the NBA could ever expect.

@2 It's common for some Old Testament folks to tell God to fuck off-which I find refreshing. The Hebrew people knew how to tell the Almighty One to take a hike! In contrast to our modern view that conflates piety with spirituality.
