May 3 Minneapolitan commented on What Is "Free Speech," Anyway?.
Serious problem with this article: no discussion of state-sponsored speech (like that from a public university) or state regulation of speech (the constitutional bounds on governmental entities regulating the content of speech).

Because these topics are absent, the article perpetuates the myth that the First Amendment means any speech in any venue (setting aside the true threat and fighting words exceptions).

Re impeachment: It's not enough to say that Trump has committed an impeachable offense. An impeachment is like an indictment, you would need to get a majority of the House to say that Trump has committed a high crime or misdemeanor. Right now, not so likely. There isn't really a body of legal or constitutional precedent for impeachments: impeachment is an inherently political act.

Agree @3.

Habeas corpus doesn't mean unqualified freedom. It means you have the right to petition the court for a writ of habeas corpus, and the court has authority to decide whether you're justly held.
