Why Middle-Aged People Walk into Traffic.
I perceive crossing Pike using a crosswalk as more dangerous than walking along closed sidewalk. On Bellevue Ave right now there are two closed sidewalks a couple blocks away from each other on opposite sides of the street. There is no way to walk down Bellevue Ave without jaywalking.

Enough with the pedestrians vs. drivers. All pedestrians at at risk of getting hit by a car, not just joggers. It's unrealistic for all pedestrians to wear bright colors and reflective lights all the time. It's also unrealistic for every driver to be aware of every pedestrian all the time. Instead of fighting about who is at fault, we should put pressure on the City of Seattle to modify our roadways to promote pedestrian safety (better lighting, bright signage, flashing lights, all pedestrian walk intersections, etc).

Your strategy is a great, if your goal is to accidentally hit pedestrians, bikes, and other cars. Instead of stewing in your sense of injustice, did you ever take a second to consider the logic behind traffic laws and our built environment? I hope you never move to Capitol Hill.

Doing rolling stops is a great way to hit pedestrians. Fuck you.
