commented on A Majority of Our City Council Is at a Swanky Resort With the Seattle Chamber of Commerce
@22 “[T]he transaction of the official business of a public agency by a governing body including but not limited to receipt of public testimony, deliberations, discussions, considerations, reviews, evaluations, and final actions.” RCW 42.30.020(3).
"For example, a majority of a city council could attend a meeting of a regional chamber of commerce or a county commission meeting provided that the council members did not discuss city business or do anything else that constitutes an “action.”"
If they aren't going to be discussing city business, then why are we paying for them to go?

MH is a cult and its members are victims. They're not innocent, but they're victims nonetheless.
Not the elders. Those guys should do time. I'm sure that misuse of church funds, tax evasion, fraud and conspiracy could be combined to rope them in. The financial damage they've done pales before the psychic damage they've inflicted on their congregations, but its the only tool available.
