Man, clearly those of you who think this is overly whiny have never had a problem with being able to breathe. Lucky you! I mean that, you're lucky. #2, it's not an annoyance. Smoke makes my asthma flare up, legitimately.
I guess this is the corollary to "I don't care about other people's kids so I won't vaccinate".... I don't care about anyone else's lungs who have to be in the vicinity of my cigarette/reefer/whatever smoke. Fuck you, asthmatics!

Yep. Cold turkey. Except for the fact that booze and drugs don't come to your house begging for you to take them back... but she probably will, so limit access. It will suck at first but he HAS to do it or he will never get his life back. Or a chance at a life that isn't lonely and miserable.

Me too. Dated a married man for 9 years. Made and broke many many promises to leave. The last time, he wooed me out of another relationship I'd started in a desperate attempt to get out of this soul-sucking relationship with the "love of my life"... I knew it was bad for me and I now look back at those 9 years as one of the biggest wastes of time I can imagine, but I loved him, the sex was the best I've ever had and I truly couldn't imagine my life without him. Now it's been almost a year since I've seen him and I'm truly alone for the first time in a long time. It's weird, but it's better than the utter loneliness of being alone, drinking too much, thinking about how my "soulmate" was at home with his wife and kids and not with me. Dude, seriously, get out. It's not going to get any better. She's not leaving. You're still there because, deep down, you still hope she will, BUT SHE WON'T. (I get it, because even though I'm done with him, that fucked up little part of my brain still wants him to come back. fuck.) Anyway, I've been on some dates and even though I haven't found anyone I connect with like I did with him, I have had some fun. You will too. You need to get away from her, the faster and farther the better. Block her number and her email and just GET OUT.

I've never understood why the world seems to think that a pregnant woman is public property. Touching her stomach, giving her advice, gettin all judgy and such. I don't get it. I've never been pregnant myself, but it still makes me cringe when people do that. Wtf. It's still a woman in there, with a woman's body with the right to privacy and personal space. Tell that well meaning (ha) stranger to fuck off, honey.

@1... yes.

I saw the show the Friday before the Super Bowl. Haven't had so much fun at the theater in a long time. If you're a Python lover... GO.

If you're not a Python lover, not only what the fuck is wrong with you, but you will have no fuckin idea what's going on. My seat neighbor spent some time trying to explain what was going on to his date (clearly not a Python fan) but gave up. Don't take a date who hasn't seen and loved Holy Grail... for your sake and his/hers!

Um, apropos of nothing but aren't most cases of mononucleosis caused by the Epstein-Barr virus? (Sorry, I guess I'm the science version of a grammar nazi.)

I LOVE my Paragard copper IUD. I'm on my 2nd one - got my first at 23 and had it in for 15 years (not recommended). Second one in for 8 years so far and since I'm approaching menopause that should be the last one. Yes, it made my menstrual cramps worse for the first year or 2 but it is soooooooo much better than hormonal birth control (makes me depressed, moody, and go from an A cup to a very painful C cup) or some other kind of barrier method (anyone remember diaphragms?) I love it. Recommend it to anyone who can find a doctor who will insert one.
