8:34 PM yesterday Gus commented on Lou Reed's "The Original Wrapper" vs. Dee Dee King's "Funky Man".
I think the Lou Reed one is at the wrong speed.
Jun 2 Gus commented on Doctor Who?.
Someone a bit older this time out, to make a cleaner break from the previous Doctor. Smith always seemed like he was doing a zany version of David Tennant's Doctor, and probably would have benefited from having someone very different in between. Someone who ran less and thought more.

I'd like it if the Doctor had a failed regeneration or something, and ended up as Paul McGann again. We never got to see much of his Doctor on screen, and he did a fine job with what he was given to work with. And introducing the mystery of how he regenerated into a former self would leave little room for companions to be mysterious, which would be a nice change of pace.
May 28 Gus commented on NFL's Adrian Peterson Comes Out.
I think someone needs to actually ask Peterson what he meant, rather than carefully parsing his statement.

Football players are not, as a general rule, crafting dense statements packed with careful nuanced meaning. "To each his own" might mean "don't care", "feel free to call yourselves married but don't go expecting any of the rights that go along with it", "if states want to approve it, go for it", "sure, gay marriage with all the rights and benefits -- don't agree that it's a real marriage, but yeah whatever."

He probably means something horrible, but find out before condemning the dude.
May 23 Gus commented on Comics App Pulls Adult Content from Apple Store.
I think Comixology is ramping up outrage to push people to buy off their website, so they won't have to give Apple a hefty percentage of the sales.
May 23 Gus commented on Star Trek Releases Deleted Scene of Benedict Cumberbatch Showering to Counter Claims of Sexism.
"That is not equality, it's just fucked up—the kind of fucked up a whole porn's worth of Cumberbatch's pecs wouldn't fix."

While that may be correct, I think they should try. We won't really know until they try.
May 15 Gus commented on Fucking a Hornets' Nest Kills a Man Dead.
You have somehow failed to make this about either race or city density.

Who is posting this under Charles Mudede's name? It surely cannot be Mr. Mudede. He would have mentioned the urban density of the hornet's nest compared to the rural isolation required to fuck farm animals and the tragic consequences when those two worlds collide.
Apr 23 Gus commented on One Dead Animal During My Walk to Work.
And I read your post, and thought of Ozzie Osbourne's "Diary of a Madman".

And then I pondered what a "Dairy of a Madman" would be like... Would there be cows genetically modified to have massive udders? Would a madman restrict himself to cows, or would he venture out into other more exotic mammals? How much milk can a sloth produce?

Moo.

Apr 11 Gus commented on Warner Bros Working on a Shining Prequel.
Please, please, please be a romantic comedy where Jack and Wendy fall in love, get married over her family's objections, and have a kid. Switch the order around for drama, if need be. She marries him for a green card, she gets pregnant, they fall in love, whatever.

And lots of playful foreshadowing to Jack trying to kill Wendy and the kid. Playing peek-a-boo "Heeeere's Johnny!", etc. And a happy ending.

Sure, they meet ghosts and Jack goes crazy and tries to kill them all, but before that... before that it was a love story!
Mar 19 Gus commented on "Why can't I see the Space Needle?" A Letter to the Editor.
Why not build a new, larger Space Needle on top of Queen Anne, about twice the height of the current Space Needle (but starting higher -- so the tip would be about 3 times higher than the current Space Needle.

Visible from basically everywhere.
Mar 15 Gus commented on Senator Rob Portman Now Supports Gay Marriage.
Perhaps if his gay son moves out of state, Senator Portman will support equal rights across state lines.

He's slightly less scummy than he was before, but he's still scum. He is a Republican after all.
